About Us

27 Years providing football in the community of Bury

Bury Girls & Ladies Football Club started in the summer of 1996 to provide a group of girls with an opportunity to play football. It was just one team at that time. An association with Bury FC was formed and plans put in place to grow the Club. Several years later and the Club boasted girls’ teams at all age groups from U10s through to adult and became a big name in the region for providing a quality football provision for female football.

In 2017 we became the official grassroots arm of Bury FC Community Trust and in turn became Bury FC Boys & Girls as we now provided a provision for boy’s football too. This partnership continued to flourish regardless of the issues at Bury FC.

In 2021, some 25 years later, with approximately 30 teams offering walking, vets, disability and recreational football alongside our regular boys, girls, Womens and mens provision we became Bury FC Foundation. With this diverse range of opportunities, the words ‘boys & girls’ became a little extinct. The term ‘foundation’ encompasses the collective opportunities we can offer at our home ground Goshen, including our fantastic 3G pitches which were funded by The Football Foundation and are managed by Bury Football Foundation..

Football for All

Not only do we provide opportunities to boys, girls and women to play football, through our partnership with Bury Football Foundation we are able to offer football opportunities to those who can't follow mainstream football.

This includes our disability teams, our men's and women's walking football teams and our men's and women's vets teams.

There is no excuse not to participate in the sport you love.
